Students show Big Skills (04/06/2009)

The college’s award winning students scooped yet more prestigious accolades at yesterday’s Big Skill awards held in Norwich and hosted by Ray Stubbs. Bobby Colliver from the college’s E2E programme was highly commended in the category of 17-19 learner. Hazel Lewis, who is a Learning catalyst Training Advisor and works closely with the college won the category of Skills for the Community. Harry Bunting, a hairdressing apprentice at the college, won the category of Skills for Work as he successfully overcame dyslexia to retrain as a hairdresser after being made redundant.

The Norfolk winners of the apprenticeship awards 2009 were also announced at the event and two of the college’s young apprentice’s studying sport Kelly Chung and Brittany Barber were highly commended in the category of apprentice of the year and The Wish hair salon were crowned employer of the year.
