Amongst the brightest of sparks (03/06/2009)
The College is very proud to have winners once more in it’s midst. The College had nominated several students and employers for different categories of the Bright Sparks 09 Apprenticeship Awards and last night the winners were announced at a glittering ceremony held at the Hilton London Stansted Airport. The nominees from the College who were named as category winners or Highly commended in their category were:
Young Apprentice of the Year
- Winner - Brittany Rose Barber, 15, Kings Lynn, Norfolk: currently on a Sports Management, Leadership and Coaching Apprenticeship
- Highly Commended - Kelly Cheung, 16, Kings Lynn, Norfolk: currently on a Sports Management, Leadership and Coaching Apprenticeship
Advanced Apprentice of the Year
- Highly Commended - Martin Dack, 20, Fakenham, Norfolk: currently on a Construction Advanced Apprenticeship
Nine businesses from the region were named as finalists in the four employer award categories of which 4 were nominated by CWA:
- Winner - Micro Business Category - The Wish Hair Ltd, Kings Lynn, Norfolk: employs Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Nail Services apprentices
- Winner - Small Business Category Cundy Anglia Ltd, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire: offers Apprenticeships in Construction
- Highly Commended - Commercial Utility Brokers, March, Cambridgeshire: Offers Apprenticeships in Business Administration and Customer Services
- Highly Commended - Gaswise Services Ltd, Kings Lynn, Norfolk: employs Construction, Plumbing and Gas Industry apprentices
