Floristry Tutors get Top Award (13/06/2008)

Floristry Course Director, Diane Wilson and Internal Verifier for floristry Jane Coe from The College of West Anglia, Land-based Campus in Milton, Cambridge were awarded the Licentiateship of City & Guilds on Saturday 17th May 2008. They joined over 150 other awardees at the Senior Awards graduation ceremony held at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall in central London.
The Licentiateship qualification, the first level of City & Guilds’ Senior Awards, requires a similar level of competence to NVQ level 4 and recognizes personal achievement and application of professional knowledge in the workplace. Senior Awards are designed for people working in industrial, business and professional environments and entitle the holders to use the post nominal letters LCGI.
Diane from Chatteris and Jane from Haverhill, Cambridgeshire are currently amongst some of the most elite professionals in the industry sector. Only three florists in the entire country hold this prestigious award, with a further 15 awarded this year.
