Applewood children’s nursery

Applewood Nursery is a caring and safe environment for children to develop at their own pace and focus on encouraging their personal, social, emotional and physical development.

Applewood Nursery is open Monday to Friday (08.00 – 17.30) and can care for up to 54 children aged from 2 months to 5 years old.

Sample delicious modern dishes prepared and presented by the culinary stars of tomorrow at Novus Restaurant. The restaurant produces new, innovative and fresh dishes carefully prepared by our budding chefs and award–winning, expert teaching team.

Creative Studios

Our creative studios boast industry-standard facilities for art and design, performing arts, media and music, including recording studios, performance and rehearsal spaces, editing suites and our very own Springboard TV.

State-of-the-art learning facilities

In 2013 a £10m complete refurbishment of the nine-storey building, the largest educational building in the region, took place. The refurbishment included replacing all the windows and re-cladding the whole exterior as well as building an extension to the ground floor to include new social facilities (The Hub), including the popular Café Hub, serving Costa coffee.

Technology centre

A brand new £5.8m technology centre opened in summer 2012, with facilities for engineering, electronics, CAD / CAM, carpentry & joinery and science.

Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

Our LRC is located on the second floor of the tower block, containing both traditional and modern resources to enhance your learning. It is a place where you can study, read in your own time and have access to the internet, books, journal and magazines. The LRC is open between the following times:
Monday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Tuesday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Wednesday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Thursday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Friday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

The college has WiFi access at all of its campuses so you can connect your own phone, tablet or laptop to our network.
