Why choose an Apprentice?

Whether you decide to develop your existing staff or recruit new employees, making a commitment to invest time and energy into training a young person can be the best thing you ever did for your company. Developing your staff through Apprenticeships ensures that they acquire the skills that suit your individual business. This allows you to build expertise for the future and motivate your employees through training that is directly related to their work role. Apprenticeships are available to young people aged 16 – 24 and are government-funded. In some instances fees may be payable – please discuss this with your Training Adviser. You can take on an Apprentice whatever the size of your business – sole trader, small company or large multi-national – and as their employer you will have a key role in the preparation of their training plan to ensure that it meets the needs of your organisation. The apprentice must be 16-24 at the start of their training. The apprentice must be employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week. National minimum wage regulations apply.
