A range of practical part-time courses from February 2012.
These courses will be free of charge if you are unemployed and need skills or training in order to get a job and you are either receiving a state benefit (eg income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, employment support allowance, jobseekers allowance*, employment support allowance (work-related activity group)*) or are dependent on someone receiving working tax credit with an annual income of less than £16,160. You will need to provide evidence of benefit.
* For these benefits you will need the approval of your Job Centre advisor.
These courses are also free if you do not already have a full level 2 qualification.
You will need to sign a self-declaration form to qualify to pay no fees.
