The Sports Campus

The College of West Anglia's sports campus opened in September 2011 in partnership with the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The college's King's Lynn sport courses are now based at Lynnsport and Leisure Park. The partnership has seen the college invest approximately £250,000 in developing new classrooms, sports science lab and student social spaces within the Sandringham suite, right at the heart of Lynnsport.

The arrangement gives the college access to Lynnsport facilities which include:

  • - 3 grass pitches
  • - 8 court sports hall with retractable spectator seating
  • - Athletics stadium
  • - Bodyworks fitness studio (gym)
  • - Climbing centre
  • - Cricket pitch and pavillion
  • - Fitness / dance studio
  • - Full size 3G Astroturf
  • - Gymnastics centre
  • - Indoor athletics arena
  • - Squash courts
  • - Synthetic hockey pitch
  • - Table tennis centre

The learning environment consists of 6 classrooms and a sports science lab with wireless internet access throughout. The learning environment allows students to work easily with Lynnsport staff and the various clubs which use the facility.
