On 20th October and 24th October, Hair and Beauty students from the College of West Anglia hosted a lively and inspiring Wear It Pink fundraiser to support Breast Cancer Research UK. The event brough together students and the local community to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, while also raising vital funds for research.
Early in the week, clients were able to enjoy pampering treatments including relaxing massages and soothing pedicures to fundraise for the important cause. And to round off the week of fundraising, the clients were able to enjoy wash and blow dry treatments, creating a friendly and uplifting atmosphere to support such an important cause. The event gave students the chance to apply their skills in a real-world setting while also fundraising for an incredibly important cause.
Client, Carley Antoshko said ‘ I enjoyed my hair being washed and blow dried, the expert advice I received on products that will benefit my hair type. My hair smells amazing and I got such a professional service. This was such a great way to fundraise for such a brilliant cause.’
Dressed all in pink, the Hair and Beauty department raised £325 across the week with all proceeds going directly to Cancer Research UK.
